For chess coaches and academies
Set homework from the puzzles or from the book your class is reading, and see who did the work, without asking students to do anything but train.
Classes and homework
A coach makes a class and shares its code or link, and students join from their own accounts. Homework is a number of rated puzzles on a theme, or the positions of a course made from a book chapter, with an optional due date.
Progress is counted from the training each student’s app already syncs, so a table shows who did what and who found each answer first time.
Students without email
Many young students have no email address. With Academy, a coach types their names and prints a sheet with each one’s username and a password of three short words and a number, and can give any of them a new password.
Pro for the whole class
The Academy plan gives a coach room for more classes and students, accounts for students without email, and Pro for the first students in the coach’s classes, up to its seats, for as long as the plan runs. Academies can pay online, or, where the team offers it, pay the team directly.
- The app speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali.
- Students read and train on phones, tablets or computers, in a browser.
Questions
How do students join a class?
With the class’s eight-letter code or its invite link, from their own account. Students without email get accounts the coach makes for them, with Academy.
Can I set a chapter of a book as homework?
Yes. Make a course from the chapter in your copy of the book, then set it as homework for the class.
